Meadow cumin leaves can be used fresh or dried to flavor certain dishes. They have a slightly sweet, aniseed flavor. The leaves can be finely chopped and added to salads, soups, sauces, vegetable dishes or used as a garnish for dishes.

To harvest the leaves, cut the stems at the base using garden shears or your fingers. Be sure not to remove more than a third of the leaves from a single plant, to allow for continued growth
