Stuffed mushrooms


Ingredients for 12 mushrooms 

  • 12 large button mushrooms
  • 100 g fresh goat's cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Fresh rosemary for decoration
  • Begonia or Phlox for decoration


  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Remove the stems from the mushrooms and slightly hollow out the centre to make room for the filling. Set aside the mushroom caps.
  • In a bowl, mix the fresh goat's cheese, chopped walnuts, chopped rosemary, olive oil, salt and pepper.
  • Generously fill each mushroom with the goat's cheese mixture.
  • Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a greased baking tray.
  • Place the mushrooms in the oven for around 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown and the goat's cheese has melted.
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly.
  • Garnish with a few sprigs of fresh rosemary to add a festive touch.
  • Serve the stuffed mushrooms as a starter for a deliciously indulgent start to your Christmas meal.
